Full Description
xThe Worth Gardening Heavy Duty Hollow Tine Lawn Aerator is a robust manual tool designed to relieve severe soil compaction and restore healthy growth to tired, moss-prone lawns. Crafted from plastic-coated heavy-duty steel, this core aerator is built to withstand tough garden conditions while protecting the frame against rust and corrosion over years of regular lawn care.
Equipped with four large hollow tines, the aerator extracts complete soil cores as you press it into the turf, physically removing plugs of dense earth rather than simply pushing soil aside. This creates clean openings that allow air, essential nutrients, and water to penetrate directly down to the grass roots. For best results, brushing lawn sand or top dressing into the newly formed holes after use helps improve long-term soil structure and drainage.
Features:
- Features four large hollow tines designed to extract complete soil cores for ultimate lawn aeration
- Removes dense plugs of compacted soil to significantly improve airflow, drainage, and root growth
- Made from plastic-coated heavy-duty steel for maximum structural strength and rust-resistant durability
- Creates clean holes ideal for brushing in lawn sand or top dressing to enhance soil composition
- Helps reduce moss buildup and waterlogging by breaking up compacted subsoil layers
- Features a comfortable t-bar handle and sturdy foot tread for easy manual leverage and operation
- Provides a far more effective long-term aeration method than standard solid spike aerators
- An essential manual lawn care tool for gardeners looking to maintain lush, healthy green turf

xDelivery Information
Most online orders from Polhill Garden Centre are delivered by our own team using our local delivery vans. For customers located further away, we work with trusted courier partners to ensure your order arrives safely.
Delivery typically takes 5 to 7 working days from the date your order is confirmed, excluding weekends. Once your order has been processed, our despatch team will contact you to confirm a delivery date. If the proposed date is not suitable, you are welcome to request an alternative and we will do our best to accommodate.
During particularly busy periods such as summer and the Christmas season, delivery times may extend to 10 to 15 working days.
For larger items including garden furniture, you will receive an email confirming your delivery day. On the day of delivery our drivers will contact you when they are on the way. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a precise delivery time in advance.
Delivery charges start from £10.00 and are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item, as well as your delivery postcode. Most local deliveries are carried out within our main service area across Kent and South East London. If your postcode falls outside this area, courier delivery or an additional transport charge may apply.
If you have not received your order within the expected delivery timeframe, please contact our team and we will be happy to help.
Returns & Refunds
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you change your mind, you may cancel your order before delivery or within 8 days of receiving your goods. Items must be unused, complete and returned in their original packaging in a resaleable condition.
Returns can be made by bringing the item to our store with proof of purchase, or by contacting our online team to arrange an alternative return method. Please note that return costs may apply if the item is not returned directly to the store.
If a product develops a fault within 12 months of delivery, we will normally offer a repair, replacement or refund, provided proof of purchase is available. This does not include damage caused by misuse, neglect or normal wear and tear.
In the unlikely event that a product becomes unavailable after you have placed an order, we may contact you to discuss a suitable substitute. If the alternative is not acceptable, a full refund will be issued.
These policies do not affect your statutory rights. If you need assistance with a delivery or return, our team will be happy to help.
