Replenishment Assistant

Polhill Garden Centre
Full-time, Temporary
We're looking for an enthusiastic replenishment assistant to join the team.

The Role

As a Warehouse Replenishment Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining stock availability across all departments by ensuring products are replenished efficiently from the warehouse to the shop floor. This is a hands-on and physical role in a fast-paced retail environment where organisation, attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

You will work closely with Warehouse, Goods In and Retail teams to ensure customers always find a well-stocked, clean and attractive shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities

Replenishment & Stock Management

  • Replenish stock from the warehouse and back-of-house storage areas to the shop floor.
  • Ensure shelves, displays and promotional areas remain fully stocked throughout the day.
  • Rotate stock where required and maintain accurate product presentation standards.
  • Identify low stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements to supervisors.
  • Assist with stock transfers between departments.
  • Support stock counts and inventory checks as required
  • Ensure products are displayed correctly and priced accurately.

Warehouse & Retail Support

  • Move stock safely using pump trucks, cages and other approved equipment.
  • Assist with unloading deliveries during busy periods.
  • Organise stock in warehouse and storage areas to maximise efficiency.
  • Support seasonal department changes, display builds and promotional launches.
  • Assist colleagues across departments as business needs require.
    Standards & Safety
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment in both warehouse and retail areas.
  • Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Handle products carefully to minimise damage and waste.
  • Report any damaged, missing or unsafe stock immediately
  • Support recycling and waste management procedures.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in retail, warehouse or replenishment work (preferred but not essential)
  • Organised, reliable and able to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks.
  • A strong team player with a positive attitude.
  • Able to work independently and use initiative.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities throughout the day.
  • Committed to delivering high standards of presentation and customer service.

Hours of Work

Typical hours will be scheduled across Monday – Friday.

Due to the nature of the role, early morning starts, weekend working and additional hours during peak trading periods may be required to support replenishment activities and seasonal demands.
