Dog & Pet Policy

At Polhill Garden Centre, we are unable to allow dogs and other pets onto the premises, with the exception of guide and assistance dogs, who are always welcome.

This policy is in place to maintain high hygiene standards for both our centre and our retail partners, and is similar to the approach taken by supermarkets and department stores. We kindly ask all customers to respect these guidelines for the comfort and safety of everyone. Additionally, we ask that customers do not leave their dogs in the car on hot days, as this can pose serious risks to their wellbeing. Thank you for your understanding.

Yes, guide and assistance dogs are always welcome at Polhill. We recognise their essential role and make every effort to accommodate their needs.
We strongly advise against this, especially on warm days. Even with windows open, cars can become dangerously hot in a short time and put your dog’s wellbeing at serious risk.
Dogs are allowed in the car park and outdoor grounds, but they must not enter any buildings, covered areas or retail units. Please also clean up after your dog if walking them near the site.
While we love animals, we’re not a dog-friendly garden centre due to our hygiene policy. However, assistance dogs are welcome at all times.
