Polhill?s Summer Staff Party 2025: A BBQ, A Band and a Wobbly Windmill
A Saturday Night to Celebrate Everyone at Polhill
On Saturday evening, the garden behind Novell?s Restaurant hosted this year?s Polhill Summer Staff Party. It was a well-earned celebration for the entire team, bringing together colleagues from every part of the business to relax, catch up and enjoy a night that was all about appreciation.
With good food, live music, a magician, raffle prizes and an exclusive cocktail made just for the night, it was the kind of evening that reminded us what makes Polhill such a great place to work.
Great Food, Straight from the Grill
The BBQ was a real highlight, cooked by our own directors who took charge at the grill and made sure everyone was well fed. There were pulled pork rolls, grilled chicken, burgers, sausages and veggie skewers, served alongside fresh salads and sides.
A special shout-out goes to one of our directors, who was caught doing a quick bit of research just before the meat hit the grill?
To be fair, the pulled pork was excellent. Google deserves some of the credit.
A big thank you to the directors for stepping up and keeping the food coming. There was plenty to go around and not much left by the end of the night.
A Cocktail with a Twist
Served exclusively for the evening, the Wobbly Windmill cocktail was a big hit. Created by The Cocktail Social, it was fruity, refreshing and named in honour of the windmill that?s stood proudly at Polhill for decades.
Poured from a pop-up bar in the garden, the drink added something special to the evening and was seen in many hands as the sun went down.
Music, Magic and a Proper Party Atmosphere
The live band brought energy and good tunes from the start, keeping the garden buzzing with a mix of relaxed covers and upbeat favourites. A few brave dancers made it onto the lawn as the night went on, and the band?s final set had plenty of people singing along.
Roaming the garden was a magician who managed to impress just about everyone he came across. From clever mindreading to flaming card tricks, his act had guests talking long after he moved on to the next table.
