The RSPB are proud to sell wild bird foods where the Majority of seeds are sourced from "Fair to Nature" farms
Features:
- "Fair to Nature" is the gold standard hallmark for nature friendly farming. It is an independently audited initiative whereby farmers commit to developing at least 10% of their farmland to help regenerate are declining natural wildlife habitats.
- Sunflower Hearts are a great source of oils, fibre and protein, and are an excellent source of nourishment for all wild birds, especially during the colder winter months.
- Sunflower Hearts can be fed from standard bird feeders, bird tables or ground feeders and are a great clean food for year round use.
- Sunflower Hearts will attract most garden birds and are also great if you are targeting Goldfinches, Great Tits, Blue Tits, Long Tailed Tits and Nuthatch's
- Hygiene
- Always ensure garden birds have plenty of fresh clean water for drinking and bathing. Clean feeding and drinking areas regularly with a mild disinfectant. Keep food fresh and dry, removing any wet food to prevent the spread of bacteria and diseases
- Feeding advice
- Site your feeder 2 metres from cover to make the feeder visible, whilst providing a safe place to retreat from predators. Put out food at the start of the day to ensure that birds can replace the energy they have lost overnight.
