Westland Hydrangea Colourant is a salt which changes pink hydrangea varieties to blue. It also changes darker pink varieties to mauve blue. This colourant easily absorbs nutrients, as well as nitrogen for greener leaves. When using Westland Hydrangea Colourant, obtain the best results with plants growing in acid soils. Use ericaceous compost where the soil is naturally alkaline and alternatively, double the application rate.

Westland Hydrangea Colourant 500g is a simple way to turn pink hydrangea blooms blue or shift deeper pink varieties to mauve blue. It contains a blend of iron and aluminium salts that acidify the soil so plants can take up the minerals needed for blue colouring. The formula also includes nitrogen for greener foliage and potassium to support flowering. Best results are achieved in naturally acidic soil. In alkaline soil use ericaceous compost or double the application rate to help the colour change take effect.

You can cancel or return your order within 14 days of delivery (excluding made-to-order and perishable goods such as cut flowers). Items must be unused, complete, and in resalable condition with all original packaging and proof of purchase.

Returns can be made in-store, by post, or via courier (costs may apply). For faulty goods within 12 months, we offer repair, exchange, or refund with proof of purchase, excluding faults from misuse or normal wear & tear.
