Allium Millennium is a hybrid ornamental onion that was developed by Mark McDonough in 1999. The leaves are grass-like and green, and the flowers are a deep rose-purple color. The flowers are borne in spherical heads on top of the stems, and they bloom in mid-summer (July-August). Allium Millennium is a popular garden plant because it is easy to grow, drought-tolerant, and deer-resistant. It is also a good choice for pollinator gardens, as the flowers attract bees, butterflies, and other insects.
